1869, MAY 472 COUNTY DEBT Purposes of Expenditure COUNTY DEBT May 5 - The stonework of the Kansas City bridge is complete. May 7 - Work on the C. & S. W. Railroad commenced at the Leavenworth end. Grasshoppers doing some damage. Drilled wheat is promising, but where sowed broadcast, is nearly a failure.
