Clay, and was born in Kentucky February 19. 1798. He married
May 4, 18:20, Rebecca ()0-llett. i11 Moniteau County, Mo. She was
a daughter of Abram and Nancy Gollett. and was born i11 Ten-
nessee Jamiary 6. 18%. He left Kentucky in his youth, and
settled on a. farm in Cole CountV. Mo. Tllenee he came to Platte
in 1837, and settled near New Market. Children:
