He came to Weston before the war, and engaged in the furni- t11re trade; was marshal of the Weston Court of Common Pleas. studied law, was admitted to the bar, and was elected judge o-f the Weston court; deputy provost-marshal under Co-mingo; was clerk of the probate court: was elected in Noveinber. 1882. circuit clerk without opposition. and reelected in 1886.
