MRS. BARTHENA MOORE.

and daligliter of Thomas Moaberly, dies at her l1o1ne, ve miles
east of Platte City. She was b-orn in Madison County, I{y., De-
cember :}0. 1816; married Ma.rch 17, 1836, in )1-ontg~omery
Count), KY. James B. 1Ioo1~e, born F-eb-ru-ary 14, 1808, in. Estill
Count), KY, son of Lewis Moore and Fannie Davis. He died
.Ia.y 3. 1884. He was a large, kind-hearted, genial, and hospit-
able gentleman. He was an enthusiastic Mason, and a ma.n of
generosity and h~ono~r. The family oam-e to Platte in 1851. Mr.
Moore rst n1arried, in 1833, Eliza Sullivan, who died childless.
