LARKIN FLESHMAN, Vas born in Green~b1-ier County, Va., Deceinber 9, 18116, and died in Platte City July 10, 1893. He received a good education in the Old Field schools of his native State. He came to Callo- way County, M0,, entered a store as a clerk, and taught school. He married. December 14, 1843, Mrs. Mildronr J. Willian1s, ne Suggett. Her only child was by her rst husband, and was the first wife of Dr. A. T. Guthrie (see), and n1ocher o-f Villian1 Guth- rie. (See) Mrs. Fles-lnnanl died November 6, 1849. During the remainder of his days Mr. Flesrhmani lived a, secluded life. in the care of servants. He kept at small store, off and on. in Platte City, built the Fleshnian Hotel. and at intervals kept it; was deaf, yet studied law, was licensed, but from inrmity of hearing did little business; made money, purchased severa.1 farms east of Platte City. and invested largely in Platte City property; had no inutiinate friends, but kept his own counsel; built a costly dwelling in Platte City, and there died, granting. by will, a large part of his estate to a11- old negro woman. Aunt Violet. who had been his housekeeper for many years. and leaving the remainder to his nephews and nieces, children of his brother Perry. III. ROYALL F LESHMAN, Never came Vest. He married Elizabeth Hoke. Two of their sons came to Platte in 1880: I. \ILLIA.I H. FL-E:SH~)IAN, has just been noticed. II. ROYALL FLESH~)I2AN (ii), was killed July 23. 1889. by Tlhos.
