1889, APRIL, 897 A. SLOAN ALLEN SLOAN died at his home in Kansas City. parents John Sloan and Elizabeth Boyd, sister of Joshua Boyd David Sloan of Belfast, Ireland married Ann M. Blackmore, daughter of Owen W. Blackmore I. ELIZA SLOAN, married Oscar H. Barbee II. JAMES H. SLOAN, married Eliza Shepard, widow of Paul Shepard III. WILLIAM R. SLOAN, married Sophia Lewis, dr. of James Lewis 1. Laura Sloan 2. Archie Sloan IV. MARY F. SLOAN, married John C. White V. DAVID A. SLOAN, married Jennie Simpson, dr. of Captain Preston Simpson VI. MILTON FACKLER SLOAN, married a Fisher VII. THOS. L. SLOAN, lives in Kansas City Mrs. Ann M. Sloan died about 1861, and Mr. Allen Sloan married, second, Mrs. Mahala D. wallace, nee Houx, widow of Dr. H. B. Wallace. She died January 31, 1877, leaving no children by Sloan. April 29 - The house of J. C. Stockton and the goods of George Mauzey burn at Junction. Gustin & Ross are erecting a two story house on Lot 1, Block 30, in Platte City, for the Argus. April 26 - JOHN GHARKY is found dead in his bed at Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born in Ohio, May 27, 1808; married first, April 30, 1838, Susan Francis. After her death he married, second, October 13, 1846, Eliza McDowell, who died September 11,
