Son of William Shortridge, of Calloway County, Mo.
cousin of John and George Shortridge
many years a physician of Weston
married first Miss Frazier of Kentucky
after her death he married Juliana McAdow, dr. of Samuel McAdow (see)

married Francis Turner and came to Platte in 1837
