Jun. 28\i1liam Newton Kcnnrey died in Weston. He Was
a son of E. I). Kenney and lats.cy Routt. and born in Owen Coun-
ty. Ky.. May 11. 1814; servetl in the Mexican War; married in
1840 Fannie J. \hite, daugxhtcr of John D.. of Yoodf~ord County,
K.: came to \est.on i11 1856. and worked as a blacksmnit-h; a
Masoin for 50 years. and a liighly esteemed citizen. Children:
I. HELEN M. KENNEY, b. in 1840; n1d John W. Kenney, of
Daviess County. lIo.
II. JOHN F. KENNEY. b. in Kentucky Oct. 30. 18-11: d. sudden-
ly in Weston Aug. 14. 1892. from apo-plexy. falling in the
street. and creating intense sorrow. He was a. blacksmith
and a Mason of high order; elected several times mayor of
\eston, and died in orice. He was at one time chairman
of the 1)em~oc-ratio Central Committee. He married June
16. 1863. Laura H. Cordray. an a~cco~mplished and educated
ladv. Children:

REV. JOHN G. FACKLER died in Texas. He is entitled to
our notice as a holy man of God. with many stars i11 his crown
from Platte County. He was born in Virginia February 6. 1822;
ordained at Jefferson City November 28. 1852: preached at Lib-
erty in 1855. at St. Joseph in 1857; health failed; we11t -to Cali-
fornia; returned to Texas to die. He was stated supply for
Platte (ity prior to the war. and was the spiritual father of
numbers.
