1893, AUG. 997 THE CUMBERFORDS I. JOHN WESLEY CUMBERFORD, b. Sept. 4, 1847 merchant at Edgerton married Feb. 26, 1874, Louisa A. Kerr, b. Nov. 17, 1850, daughter of William Kerr (i) (see). Children: 1. Malcolm N. Cumberford, b. Jan. 18, 1875 2. Ernest V. Cumberford, b. March 22, 1876 3. William L. Cumberford, b. March 7, 1878 4. Jessie M. Cumberford, b. March 10, 1880 5. Quina Cumberford, b. April 8, 1883. 6. Colodie P. Cumberford, b. Jan. 27, 1886 7. Kerr F. Cumberford, b. May 26, 1888 8. Lena Cumberford, b. Dec. 18, 1893 II. MARGARET ELIZ. CUMBERFORD, b. July 7, 1850, married April 18, 1872, James Peyton P. N. Cumberford's second wife died, and he married, third, July 19, 1876, Mrs. Sarah E. Kuykendall, widow of James M., and daughter of Israel Link. She was born March 7, 1833, and died August 14, 1893. For her children by her first husband, see J. M. Kuykendall's sketch. Aug. 20 - William Fleshman killed at Platte City by Davis Hatton. No public examination had. Aug. 28 - Georgia Linn Tucker, wife of J. P. TUCKER, editor of the Independent (see), died at Parkville. She was a daughter of Rev. Oratio Linn (dead) and his wife, Aldeah P. Linn, postmaster at Parkville during Cleveland's first administration. She was born in Wright City, Mo., October 20, 1868; married November 21, 1888, J. P. Tucker. Mr. Tucker married second, December 26, 1894 Susie C. Stickney. Aug. 29 - The fair commenced. W. A. Elgin president. SEPTEMBER Sept. 3 - Georgia Ann Cole, wife of John R. Cole and daughter of WILLIAM FORD, son of Zacharaih Ford, died in Clay. William married Martha Calamese. Children: I. GEORGIA ANN FORD, b. in Woodford County, Ky., Jan. 10, 1833; married 1st, John N. Moseby, and had:
