1895, NOV. 1(44 MRS. A. BELL. Nor. 7MRS. A RENA BELL, nee Lewis. wife of W. C. Bell, died at Leavenworth. and was buried at Platte City. Mr. lell was niarshal of Platte City. and left for Leavenworth after the re of 1885, in which he was a sutferer. \. M. Nov. 18The miners of the Home-Riverside coal mine. of Leavenworth, are on a strike for 80 cents per ton. They are paid the increased sum; but the company. in two months. shuts down and discharges all hands. Park College is granted by some one. who withholds his name, a. sum sufiicient to erect an ()bservatory. H. C. MARKWELL. Nor. .20H. C. Markwell dies at his home. near Linkville. He was an honest and laborious farmer, and highly respected. He was born in Fleming County. August 1, 1833. He mar- ried, rst, Marsolete Raisor, of Bath County, Ky. Children: I. JAMES W.
