WILLIAM E. WOODSON, married January 14, 1864, Emma J. Patterson, of Lafayette County, Mo. Children: 1. Emma Lee Woodson (dead), married Samuel Cooper 2. William P. Woodson 3. Joseph F. Woodson IV. JOHN F. WOODSON V. STEPHEN C. WOODSON, married Margaret Perrin VI. CHARLES R. WOODSON, married February 26, 1873, Julia Tabor. Children: 1. Peter J. Woodson, 2. Julia Woodson VII. LETITIA J. WOODSON, married April 8, 1873, Elisha Melton. She died July 8, 1874, and Mr. Melton died in 1876. VIII. BEN F. WOODSON, a lawyer of St. Joseph, b. June 19, 1854; married December 28, 1882, Maggie C. Norton. No children. IX. ARCHELAUS M. WOODSON, married Bettie Oliver. X. CALLA E. WOODSON, married May 12, 1886, John B. Reynolds. Children: 1. Jas. B. Reynolds 2. Stephen C. Reynolds II. GOV. SILAS WOODSON Was a son of Wade N. Yoodson and Alice Cheek. He was a. member of the Kentucky Constitutional C-onvention of 1849, and the only one to vote for the gradual en1.ancipation of slaves. He was born May 18, 1818; married in Kentucky, in 184:}, MarVJ. MCR-oberts; no issue. He married. second. in 1848. Olivia Adanls. who died childless. He came to Missouri in 1854. a11d married. third, Virginia Lard. daughter of Elder Moses Lard. He was judge of this circuit in 1861, and governor of the State in 1872. Children: I. MARY WOODSON II. SILAS WOODSON III. VIRGINIA WOODSON Governor Woodson died at St. Joseph. M0,. October 9. 1896. May 29 - DR. JOHN S. BROWN. of New Market, died in New Mexico. He was born March 7. 1858: graduated at Missouri Medical College in 1881; came to New Market: married April 15. 1883, Livie L. Bailey; went to New Mexico for his health. He left a widow and 1 child, John M. Brown. The Presbyterian Sun~day-school at Platte City celebrated Children's Day, with music and liteia1y exercises.
